The Haven and Life: Welcome to My first Blog-Thanks for Coming

The Haven and Life: Welcome to My first Blog-Thanks for Coming: "This is my first Blog. It feels rather strange and will probably read very strangely. Bear with me please. The name of the blog was inspired..."

Day two of my blog

Thought for the day: Be positive

Today finds the weather here totally opposite  to yesterday's. Yesterday's blue sky is now mottled with clouds in all shades of grey, the slight Autumnal chill in the air has an icy bite to it. A fairly strong wind has replaced the stillness; drizzle, and even rain, fall intermittently.

However, like yesterday the weather does not reflect my mood. Today has been a good day, most things have gone according to plan. My daughter will be cooking our Family meal, and God willing my husband will return to The Haven unscathed (physically) by his day. No walk to my mother's today.

I know there are people in the world who have the sun shining down on them now. Enjoy!

I really can't think of much more to say at the moment, so for today this is it, except to say, 'Even if no one reads this, at least it makes me write something everyday.'

Until the next time,
Love well, Live well and carry on breathing!

I hope you will return.

Welcome to My first Blog-Thanks for Coming

This is my first Blog. It feels rather strange and will probably read very strangely. Bear with me please. The name of the blog was inspired by the name of my house, (a bungalow). However I cannot take the credit for the name 'The Haven'  as it was named by the very first person who owned the house, just after it was first built in the 1930's, and I only found out after I'd been living here for about ten years. I found it quite ironic really, because at the time my family and I were fostering; and I like to think this was a Haven for the children we were fortunate enough to foster.
Today is Monday, and I sincerely hope the week gets better; as today has not been a good day, but less than a bad day (I'm still breathing and I am not hungry).

Despite the slightly negative start to my blog. I am a 'glass half -full ' person. (honest!). I know tomorrow is going to be a good day.
Our day here in my part of the world was a glorious sunny, blue-sky day with the distinct Autumnal crisp chill in the fairly still air.  On my morning walk to my mother's house I tried not to slip on damp fallen leaves;luckily with great success - I remained upright for the entire 3 minute walk!

Life here at The Haven was fairly uneventful, and everyone (my husband, my daughter and myself)  returned unscathed (physically, anyway).

Maybe this is enough for a first blog, and hopefully they will improve as the week goes on.. I hope I will be updating  daily (for this first week at least), but don't hold your breath.

Live well, Love well and above all  carry on breathing!
I hope you will return.
